Desperate Housewives: Season 4
Finally it's back! I very much liked tonight's episode too. Without a doubt I see Felicity Huffman being nominated for an Emmy for what her role will bring to the show this season.

I'm already wondering what is up with the new teenaged girl. Maybe their "real daughter" was murdered as a child and then they adopted some other little girl to replace her, and that's why she doesn't remember playing with Julie when she was little? Either that, or it's some weird repressed memory situation. Who could the man in her room have been? Paul Young? Maybe she is the long lost twin sister of Zack Young (which would make Mike Delfino her biological father).
C'mon you GC'ers...I know that we can figure this plot out!!

I was thinking that maybe the little girl had died in some tragic accident. And the mom, being a perfectionist like Bree, felt it would reflect badly on her parenting if people knew. So they moved away from Wisteria Lane very suddenly. Then, they found a little girl that looked like their daughter and kidnapped her. And that's where the teenage girls nightmares about a man being in the room and grabbing her come from.

I'm guessing the girl might have been raped by her real dad when she was young in that room that the mom was showing to the step dad. The memories were probably too tragic for her so she start blocking her memories. That, or she must have lost her memory at some point

Yeah, I think the girl isn't the biological daughter of Dana Delaney (I don't remember her character's name), and that's why Julie said to Susan (paraphrasing), "The girl I was best friends with all those years ago... this isn't the same girl." I think Julie literally meant that, and not just that her friend was acting differently than she used to. Not sure what to think about why the family left so suddenly... especially with no mention of what happened Dana's first husband (divorce? accident? psycho-wife-related homicide?).

Oooooh....good one. That sounds totally plausible, for Desperate Housewives.
Whatever happened with Mrs. McClusky and her dead husband being in the deep freezer? Nothing?

We already know something traumatic happened to her. When she was speaking with Julie, she mentioned her earliest memory. It also happened in "that room".
What makes me most curious is the reason why they moved back. "We had to".
Lots of questions. Kind of reminds me of the season with the Applewhites.

I hope this family is less obnoxious than the Applewhites.
I was also thinking that the "real daughter" died and was "replaced" (or that the "current one" was kidnapped.)

I might be off on the timeline, but is there a chance that Susan could be pregnant with Ian's baby? I just don't remember how much time has elapsed from Ian leaving and the start of the new season.

My first thought too! There's no way after all they've been through they'll suddenly let Susan and Mike just live "happily ever after". Susan's too high-strung to do "normal". Of course they'll have to make this situation complicated... can't wait!

Something most definitely is going on w/ the paternity of the Susan's baby. I figured that when he kept on saying "with OUR baby we'll make decisions together" or something to that effect.
Quick question though -- this season is supposed to be what, 6 months after the final episode of the prior season? How could it be Ian's baby? Maybe I missed something because I honestly wasn't that great at keeping up with last season.
It's too bad Bree didn't get that "secret ingredient"... I hope it's nothing crazy like goat's blood or something.. haha
I think everyone will probably think that Carlos is paying that guy to be a hit man, but I am thinking it might not be what it seem? Maybe he's paying the guy to sweep Edie off her feet? Though he was kinda scary looking, so who knows. Maybe he's paying the guy to cover up that secret bank account?

My bet's on the secret ingredient being lemon pie filling from a can or something articificial like that....in other words, a shortcut that Bree wouldn't dream of using.

Yes, the show is supposed to be 6 months into the future from the season finale so the baby couldn't be Ian's.
I'm not liking Gabby's storyline at this point. Why are her only two options the Mayor or Carlos? Why can't she be a strong independent woman for a while???

I really doubt he is paying a hit man to kill Edie -- that would be the second time that a hit man went after her.
I would place my bet that he is paying the guy to cover up the off-shore account.

Co-sign on it maybe being Ian's baby. That was the first thing that crossed my mind.
I have to say I wasnt too impressed with many of the episodes from last season but this season's premiere gave me hope for the rest of the season...cant wait!
