Phi Epsilon Pi

Hey Everyone,

I recently came across an unknown fraternity and I figured this would be the best place to get an answer. I have been searching for any information on a group called Phi Epsilon Pi, google has returned nothing that works and since there are so many intelligent people up here who know lots about fraternal history, I just figured you all may be able to help me out. Basically I want to know what type of Fraternity they were........Local, National, Social, Honorary, Professional, etc.....

Any information will help.

I checked the second link myself beforehand and it didnt really reveal anything in particular, and I appreciate the tid-bit on ZBT, I checked some older Bairds but they didnt provide too much helpful info.

Hi Trey,

There used to be a website with a huge listing of every GLO mentioned in all 20 editions of Baird's. Fortunately, I printed it out before the website was taken down. Two different Phi Epsilon Pis are listed.

The first one is the one Drolefille gave you info on. (founded 1904 Rutgers, merged with ZBT) The second one was founded at Beloit in 1908 and was absorbed by SAE. Info on this second one appears in Baird's 7th, 8th, and
9th editions. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those editions.

If it's the first one you're after, they were national and social. They appear in the section with NICs although I'm not sure if they ever were NIC. I'm not sure what you're not finding though so I'm confused. There's a lot of info on them in the earlier editions. ???

Hey Leslie,

I have 2 early PDF versions of Bairds Manuals (1915 and 1920) they are freely available online through google books so you can search for them and save them to your computer. If you cant find them, just shoot me a PM and I will get them to you.

After I have done some more research I thought it was probably the one that merged with ZBT, but I didnt know there were 2 different groups. The only thing I have to go on is a Coat of Arms, and a chapter designation (Beta Xi). There are also a couple names as well, but my history info from my source is very limited.
