I guess I found the Overheard in New York website sometime last year, and recently I learned that there's one for Athens, Georgia. It could be any college town, and I'm guessing that a lot of them have these sites.
It makes me laugh and worries me at the same time.
My campus does not have this. Some of it was funny, but I would be concerned that psople would use it to be malicious. So if some friends fall out they could put it on there and air their laundry. Childish.....yeah, but I det someone has done it or will sooner or later.
The ones about the bus system usually do make me laugh, but they require a familiarity with the campus bus system:
large ones. that are on fire. with spikes.

we don't have an overheard in site, but we have an anonymous confession board that in its various incarnations has been outright vicious and awful (like i don't sit next to the fat girl in class because she's ugly and i don't want to be seen next to her) to stupid to bragging about how many people have had sex/done other sketch things in the library (don't ask, i don't even want to know if it's true).
