that's so cool! some of the guys in one of the frats on our campus are homosexual, and the campus looks down upon them, and it's really sad! but props to those guys for breaking some stereotypes!!!

It can also be deceiving.
If you have ten chapters/members/colonies, and add one, you've increased by 10%
If you have one hundred chapters/members/colonies, and add one, you've increased by 1%.
All that being said, congratulations on the growth and good luck!

They seem to have their stuff together. Congrats to them.

We have a chapter at WVU, and I know one of the brothers, but they are so small. It's for openly gay and bisexual men, and there is still such a stigma. Their pledge class was all of three men, and one depledged because he did not think he could bring himself to openly wear the letters because of the stigma. Still, really nice guys. They do have it together.

My school has a Delta Lambda Phi chapter also. I'm not sure how many guys they have now (last I heard they had like 10). They never really participated in much on campus in terms of Greek events.

Isn't the fraternity for openly gay and bisexual men? Being openly gay isn't part of the application process?

This is a shame to say, but I really doubt that Delta Lambda Phi will ever really take off at WVU. I've been there, I have friends that go there, hell, my mom works there (at the hospital) and I can tell you for a fact the atmosphere is not supportive of alternative lifestyles.
You are more likely to see a rebel flag than a rainbow one.

Sadly, I agree. I had a lot of gay/lesbian friends either take a look at the town and apply elsewhere, or transfer somewhere up north. WVU isn't all that bad, but if you fall somewhere outside the line, it just won't work.
