Green Friday '06: Savings? Bargains?

Will any of you flock to spend your money very early on Friday?

If so, what stores do you plan on visiting? Do you have a certain strategy that you follow on this day to take advantage of the bargains?

For you internet shoppers, savings are to begin on Monday.

i heard a radio ad about Prime Outlets opening at Midnight to kick off the Holiday Shopping Season. If i can trick my boyfriend into coming with me, we'll be in line at Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, and Ann Taylor.

Of Course...

Yes, Soror, I plan to be up and out at 5 o'clock in the morning! It's a tradition my mom and I share...I wouldn't miss it...I get a rush that I can't explain! We get the paper Wednesday morning, highlight all the savings, etc., and hit the stores with the best values first, i.e., Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc. And, if the deals are too good, we'll split stores and meet each other at a designated spot. I remember 3 years ago I wanted some lighted Reindeer to go in my yard....Big Lots was having the BOMB sale, but we couldn't be in 3+ places at once, so we called ALL our friends and gave them each assignments...we in turn picked up what they needed at the stores we shopped, we literally were shopping off each other's Christmas List, it was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!

eveready1908, are y’all those people I see in the stores with the cell phones speaking with one another about the deals you've discovered on your respective aisles?

We waited all year for this day to get our new computers! We woke up at 3 thinking we were ahead of the game. But my cousin, who works at circuit city, called us when we woke up and told us that the line was already across the street! They weren't opening until 5. LOL!

I was one of the people who snarked that "Green Friday is for amateurs. The pros shop all the time." And I proved it this weekend. I haven't yet got into gift-giving mode, but I found some nice deals at Forth & Towne, and a secondhand joint (Michael Kors cashmere for $55).
