				The Holidays & our Troops:

			For most of us, this week is the start of the Holiday Season. The beginning of all the family gatherings, the parties, and seeing of old friends and talking about old times.
However, there are families whose gatherings are just a bit emptier; whose table may have an empty chair or two.
There are those whose gathering maybe held on sand, dirt, snow, or water far from home and family.
So, if you have the time and interest, please check out some of the following links.
Happy and Healthy Holidays to you and yours.

O Valiant Hearts
 O valiant hearts who to your glory came
through dust of conflict and through battle flame;
tranquil you lie, your knightly virtue proved,
your memory hallowed in the land you loved.
Proudly you gathered, rank on rank, to war
as who had heard God's message from afar;
all you had hoped for, all you had, you gave,
to save mankind — yourselves you scorned to save.
John Stanhope Arkwright’s hymn “O Valiant Hearts”.

			Thank you, Jon! I've sent things before through a woman whose son is in Iraq and in the K-9 corps. It's good to have options - and a chance to thank those in the military for all they do!

				Thanks Jon

			I just got this information today... I believe it is for the Fort Lewis soldiers in Washington state. But other personnel, at Whidbey, etc. can attend... They just said they have it together and didn't ask for volunteers. I may email them and ask...

 Subject: DCJ is Feeding the Masses

 It's always been a tradition for those of some fortune to give back to the community during the holiday season. This year will be no different. On Thanksgiving Day, the members of Daniel "Chappie" James Lodge # 72 will open our doors to feed the less fortunate families in our community for free. We are also looking to share our families with single soldiers and those away from their own families. It's just something we feel we have to do.

 If you know a family away from home that may be falling on hard times or not, tell them about this event. We have plenty of food donated by member, local business people, and individuals who just want to give back. If you'd like to come down and help serve, clean, or just spend time talking to people, feel free to do so.

 Thanks to Sis. Martha Davis and the Toy Rescue Mission in Tacoma, we will be giving away some Teddy Bears to the youth during dinner. We want our community to know that the Prince Hall Masons of Daniel "Chappie" James Lodge # 72 of the MWPHGL of Washington & Jurisdiction, care about this community and the people who live in it.

 If you can't come by, say a small prayer for us that we have enough food to feed the masses and enough masses to eat all the food we have.

 Happy Thanksgiving to each of you.

 WB Julius W. Brown Jr.
