Gift Etiquette

A girl who I was friends with in high school but sort of lost touch with in college (we are now more acquaintances than good friends) invited me to her birthday party. Am I supposed to bring her a gift? It's in a bar, so is it better if I just buy her some drinks or shots? I'm assuming she wouldn't want anything big that she'd have to carry?

I'd say just buy her some drinks. If you more so acquaintances, that'd probably be the best way to go.

You could bring a card and if you know anything about where she shops or things she likes you could get her a gift card?

Buying her a drink works, but if you think that the other guests might bring gifts you could always get her a card and write something in it like "let's do lunch on me and catch up soon".
