The Monday Night RAW thread

Ok, I know on a website of this size I can't be the only person on here that watches WWE RAW. Haven't got to watch it in a week or two.

I don't watch it much anymore but used to quite a bit. I've been watching TNA lately and went to their first ever house show last week. I wonder if Bret Hart will be involved at all at wrestlemania?

On a related note, I just took five vacation days this month and missed the opportunity to go to World of Wheels. I could've met Goldberg, Christian and Christy Hemme.

I wouldn't miss my baby John Cena for the world.

But the whores are wrestling now so I'm flipping to Family Guy

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, then.

I thought I'd watch wrastlin forever, but I quit after Wrestlemania 20, around the time WWE bought WCW. Having a monopoly has messed up the program.

Although we caught RAW last night, and that Nikki girl going ape shit and making out with a knocked out Trish Stratus was awesome..

I don't think wrastlin will ever have the huge following it did in the mid-late 90s. But I could be wrong. These things work in cycles.

Agreed. It seems as if the WWE puts out a piss poor product now purposely due to the lack of major competition out there. Thats why I am pulling for TNA to at least be a major player.

I agree that after Wrestlemania 20 things have kind of been in a slump. Part of this I attribute to the loss of two of my favorite wrestlers, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. Although the buzz seems to be that Lesnar will eventually return to WWE. I think they've tried to make Batista into a Goldberg-like character.

Speaking of TNA, did you see who's on board now? Scott Steiner!

WM XXII

Here are the Wrestlemania 22 results for those who care:

Big Show and Kane beat Carlito & Chris Masters to retain the World Tag title.

RVD won the money in the bank match.

JBL defeated Chris Benoit for the US title.

Edge defeated Mick Foley in a hardcore match

Boogeyman defeated Booker T.

Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus for the Women's Title.

Undertaker continued his WM streak by beating Mark Henry.

Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon.

Rey Misterio defeated Kurt Angle and Randy Orton in a triple threat match for the Undisputed title.

Torrie Wilson defeated Candice Michelle.

And last, but not least, John Cena beat Triple H by submission to retain the World Championship.

Anyone notice how hard WWE is trying to push John Cena as a good guy?

During the last match, I noticed the London crowd couldn't stop applauding when the Spirit Squad was kicking Cena's ass, and booing whenever he got the upper hand.

I need to stop watching......but this Mickie James/Trish thing just has me creaming in my pants...

Yeah, I never really cared one way or the other about Cena. The crowd has turned on him in a big way though. Trips sure was getting some pops there.

Triple H made a funny when he said to Lita "Hey can you help me out? I hear you have a lot of experience taking on five guys at once".

I wonder how the ECW coming back full time will affect TNA. Sabu was the first to jump over. I hope the TNA roster doens't get raided that much.

ECW will still be run by the WWE but be its own federation. I just want to know why they didn't do this from the start instead of waiting four or five years after the merger to do this.

Funny, that's another reason I stopped watching Wrastlin. I LOVED ECW in it's heyday, before all their stars jumped to WWF or WCW. Once WWE did that stupid Alliance thing where ECW and WCW joined up, that's when I was done.

A WWE/WCW/ECW fued, back in the day, without a McMahon leading each pack, would have been awesome. But they went for cheap.....

I enjoy Chris Benoit out of all the wrestlers. He's just awesome!

I can only hope that the damn McMahons stop pushing themselves so much. I'm sick & tired of watching Shane & Stephanie. At least Vince has personality but he's starting to irritate me too.

I'm having a Backlash party at my place this Sunday. Should be fun.
