I didn't catch that author they both mentioned (of children's books). Did either of y'all get her name?

I am reading some Ann Rinaldi books (fictionalized history books for young adults) and am always open to new avenues!

Margaret Wise Brown. Also Goodnight Moon and Big Red Barn. Great picture books for the younger set (& forever young!)

Amazon is selling all three, hardcovers, in a pack as a Baby's First Library starter kit.

Think she'd let me borrow that dress? It's one of my very best colors to wear!

My students LOVE Good Night Moon!! and enjoy calling each other Mr Nobody as per the "good night nobody" page!

I was a few blocks up from the theatres around 6pm...didn't remember the play & the late show were tonite till I got all the back uptown & saw the commercials boo hiss. The crowds would have pissed me off so maybe it was all for the best.

what do you call that color???

I would say that it's a form of cocoa-taupe. I look best in ivories, taupes, cocoas - or what my mother calls "Ice Cream Colors"! Being a redhead, my coloring is strong enough - I can wear bright colors, but the lighter ones look better.

And it also looked as if it was shot-silk/shantung silk, so when she moved, the colors changed ever so slightly. *sigh* Her waist looked positively tiny!

My children had both books when they were little. My son would go NO WHERE without his Goodnight Moon . He went through approximately 5 copies since he would "read" them over and over again until they completely fell apart. Would go nuts until he had another copy. I kept new copies in a cupboard so that we had no tears over the book. Today, he is a major reader. I credit Margaret Brown Wise for both of them having a love of books

With the Oprah's purple sash and Dave's tie, they look kinda coordinated. That is a beautiful dress.

That dress was fabulous!

Margaret Wise Brown is a favorite children's author of mine. I think I have all of her books that are in print in my school library. Some of the old ones have been re-issued with new illustrations.

I thought the interview was awesome!! Especially with all the talk leading up to it about the so-called "feud." They got along great, and he even walked her to the opening of her Broadway play. Kudos to both of them. It was a lot better than I expected.
