Shout Color Catcher

You're all reading this thinking, "Why has KR started a laundry-related thread? She's such a geek." Well, I can't argue with that but I am so impressed with Shout Color Catcher that I had to share my experience with you. I'm generous that way

You just toss a dye-trapping sheet into your wash and it keeps clothing colors from bleeding together. I just washed a new red shirt with a white collar and the collar stayed completely white. It's awesome stuff!

Two thumbs up from this laundry-doing mom!

ETA: Yikes! Sounds like I'm writing advertising copy. Sorry! I get excited about the strangest things.

I've been using these for a while now -- I always throw them in the wash when I'm doing colors and sometimes whites (I've had too many mishaps with that proverbial red sock!). I love them! Glad to know there's someone else out there who appreciates them the way I do.

edited to fix the word i just made up

Here, here! I totally agree with you, KR. Those Shout Color Catchers have saved me many times. They're like magic.

I don't really understand how these work. Why would the dye go to the color catcher and not other white stuff??? Science baffles me sometimes.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had a beautiful shirt that I ruined a few years ago when I put it in the wash. It was black with white patterns on it. The patterns turned an ugly grayish color. The label said the shirt was machine washable!

I've been taking shirts like that to the drycleaners but I'll definitely have to try this Shout Color Catcher!

Hmm....I might have to invest in some of these. I'm already a huge fan of the Shout Wipes since I'm such a klutz. Thanks for the review.

So I'm posting back-to-back in this thread. I went out and bought these today because recently I've lost some weight and I've got a pair of jeans that are the next size down in my closet that I like a lot. Problem is, I accidently washed them with a new red shirt last year and it stained them horribly. I'd been trying to figure out what I was going to do with them. The Color Catcher was amazing. I tossed it in with the load and when I pulled them out, I was shocked. They were perfectly clean and free of pinkish red spots. Thank you KR!

OH, this is so on my list. I have a combination of red and white sheets on my bed and because I am not smart, I washed them together. I hope this will fix it!
