Rock Star: Season II (who will the band be, this time around?)
Okay, so now that INXS has their new singer in JD, Mark Burnett will undoubtably "recycle" this series and bring it back again for Season 2 (and then 3, 4, 5, 6,....etc.).
So who can they use for Season 2? I propose Van Halen. Lord knows that band has sucked ever since David Lee Roth left. They need a new lead singer. Or can you think of any other bands who are in need of a lead singer?
Discuss.....

I say they need to bring on The Eagles to replace the guy who replaced Don Felder. He's an ok guitar player but let's just say he's kind of lacking. Plus, I like the Eagles as 5 member instead of 4. They might not be able to "officially" replace Don Felder due to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rules. A member of the R&RHofF has to have 25 years under their belt since the first record's release.

If you've been reading the RS:INXS thread, you already know my answer.
Rock Star: Van Halen
The ultimate in rock and roll, sheer entertainment, legal wrangling and potential draaaammmmaaaa all in one neatly edited package.

Who in their right mind would want to work with the Van Halen brothers?

I will personally keep up the hope that the novelty of reality tv will soon wear off and we will not NEED another season of this show... or Big Brother.... or Mom Swap.... or.... You get the idea.
But, I do think the WHAM idea is funny.

That's the allure of the idea, sir! That would be riveting television in so many ways.

I second that idea, but realize that Freddie would be rolling in his grave...

Not Queen, per Brian May (thank heavens!!!!!!!)
Brian's Soapbox Sep 05
Now, what about the band that Rob Thomas used to be in? Wasn't Mark McGrath in a band before he started doing whatever he's doing these days?
ROTFLOL at Sgt. Pepper's!

Rob Thomas was in Matchbox 20, and Mark McGrarth was in Sugarray... I dont think either of those bands would be right for RockStar

You're right. The drama alone between the new singer and the brothers would make other reality shows seem tame.
