Sororities and Fraternities in NYC?

Hey guys...I'm the President of the NYC chapter of a Non Academic sorority. Because we are not school affiliated, we are not really involved in greek life at all...i really would like to get my chapter more involved and I thought that mixers and parties with other GLO's in the area would be a good way to do that....would anyone be interested in doing something social with my chapter? We are pretty small- only 11 girls right now.

do you know if Lambda Chi Alpha is involved at all -- do you know of an Alum Association for LCA in the city?

You may wish to check in with your National. I know that SAE National keeps track of those sort of matters.

Up until a few years ago, I was aware of a NYC All Greek group.
Not sure if it is still around and running.
Put together several large gatherings.

Local Greek Events

All-Greek Rooftop Party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Thursday, June 22nd from 5:30-8:00 pm This is the ORIGINAL All-Greek Party!! Invite your friends and coworkers, Greeks and non-Greeks alike for this after-work cocktail party on the rooftop of the Met overlooking Central Park. Meet all the sororities and fraternities of NYC at this massive party. It is free, but there is a SUGGESTED Donation to enter the museum. Dress: After-Work attire.
Location: Rooftop Garden of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd St. Look for us near the small bar in the rear!!
Rain Location: If rooftop is closed due to rain, we will meet at Bounce on 1403 2nd Ave and 53rd st.

All-Greek Summer Event at 79th Street Boat Basin
July 20th from 7pm to ?? Bar is located on West 79th St and Riverside Dr. We will have a private cash bar near the rear area.

In the past, I have been to the above events. Met parties have had over 400 GLO members. Others have been a smaller. Have not been at one for awhile for several reasons.
