interesting item, need help
I was in my great grandma's basement looking through old junk, and I found a stein with a crest on it. at the bottom, on a banner, it says in greek letters Sigma Phi Epsilon, so I assume it is from your fraternity, but I can't find the crest anywhere on the internet. I figure my great grandpa brought it home when he worked cleaning out old dorms and apartments in Bloomington in the 60's and 70's, so this thing is probably at least 25 years old. At the newest, it would be around 22 years old, because my mom thinks he retired when he was 65. Thanks for any help. The crest also has a cross with a lamp in it, a crown at the top, a star in the upper left quarter, and a sword in the upper right quarter.

Yes, you are correct that is the Sigma Phi Epsilon crest. If you are looking to see it on the net, this is my chapters website. It is on this page. But we are a very new chapter so the page for the most part is still being designed. http://sites.netscape.net/SigEpNAU/main

Yep, that's definitely it. I wish I could date this stein I have. She told me not to sell it, because "if it's worth something to one person, it's probably worth something to a lot of people." However, it's worthless to me, and I know it would mean a lot to a lot of Sig Ep's out there. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it though, maybe sell it on eBay or something.

My Chapter or at least myself would also be interested in buying that stein. Whatever happens, an effort should be made to get it into the hands of SigEp once again.

I ended up selling the stein some time ago. I can't remember if I sold it on ebay or not, but I know it went to a Sig Ep.
