Is anyone rushing there this year?

I have heard quota is down (est 39-42) but that's about it.

One of my boyfriend's best friends is a senior at Miami of Ohio, and this friend's sister is a freshman there who I believe is going through recruitment. Last time I asked him about it (in October) he said she was planning on it.

When is Miami's recruitment?

Miami's recruitment started Tuesday, and Bid Day is Martin Luther King Day. An abnormally large number of girls were dropped from recruitment because of low grades, so quota should be 36-42.

(My freshman year, quota was 56!)

ETA- Phi Mu colonized my freshman year, so that made quota smaller as well.

Although Phi Mu was added the system has also lost AEPhi (which sometimes counted in quota sometimes didn't) last year and Sigma Kappa the year (or two) before that.

Anyways is ADPi still located next to the Alpha Phi suite??

the daughter of a girl i work with goes there and is a freshman. i am not sure if she is going to rush tho. her mom mentioned that she was going back to school early because she had something to do, but we got interrupted before i could ask if it was for recruitment. i will see her again in a few weeks and will ask.

i don't believe AEPhi ever counted in quota since they didn't participate in formal recruitment with the other chapters.

You're right. In the two years I've been here, AEPhi only participated in Open House of formal recruitment, and therefore didn't count in quota.

and and also to add, another chapter was closed down a year prior to Sigma Kappa.

Yep!

The only information I've gotten so far is that all but 5 chapters made quota. ADPi made quota of 39 new members!

ETA- 5 chapters not making quota is out of the ordinary- it's usually just 1 or 2.

Yes quota was 39 and Alpha Phi pledged 39 fabulous woman today!

The following chapters made quota - AXO, AZD, APhi, ADPi, AOPi, DG, DZ DDD, KKG, Theta, Phi Mu, and ZTA

I know the chapters missing quota did snap bid but I am unsure of those results yet. I would assume most were able to fill their vacancies but will confirm later in the week.
