Lions Everywhere--

Since the Aglaia is putting in lion sitings...
Oshkosh would be the place to be, this entire summer lions have been all over the city for a project called Pride of Oshkosh...

project info: http://www.uwosh.edu/pride/index.php

my faves:
LiteHearted Lion by Judie and Kurt Koeppler, Laurie and Jim Larson (The Shops at City Center, 100 City Center)

Journey to the Den of Dreams by Lyn Marie Neuenfeldt, (Paine Art Center and Gardens, 1410 Algoma Blvd)

Ivan by Julia Flanagan and Kim Koch, (Community First Credit Union, Hiker's Park, corner of Algoma and Congress) **this one sold at auction for $30,000.00

Leo's Realm by Heather Bazata of Heatherby (Aurora Health Care, 855 N Westhaven Dr)

Cosmic Leo by Aaron Sherer (Culver's Frozen Custard Restaurants, 1580 Koeller St)

see the rest at: http://www.uwosh.edu/pride/Assets/listoflions.php

I'm sending the aglaia my photos that i took this summer

Those were all beautiful!!

I haven't seen that many lions in Miami ever, here they have similar things in parts of towns that are roosters...not as much fun.. i think they did it as part of a "historic miami" thing..a VERY long time ago..but there are still some roosters around.
miami is very big though so its not like everywhere you go you see a rooster

Thanks for the beautiful pics PhiStar

Those are so cute and creative. Around here we had Pelicans on Parade and where my husband went to school there were Gators on the Go. One of my favorite Haloween costumes ever was a guy who made himself into a KA Gator when the city had just started to project.
