meeting sisters
Hey girls!! I would like to meet sisters from all over! Everytime I see a Phi Mu, I always introduce myself b/c I know we both share a bond even though we don't know eachother! I'll tell you all a little about me... I'm a Phi Mu at the U. of North Alabama. I have been in Phi Mu for a year and I love it!! I can't imagine a better place to call home for 4 years and for the rest of my life! I hope to hear from a bunch of you all soon!
LIOB,
Kristen

Hi. This is my first time on this website. I thought it would be nice to meet sisters from other areas. I'm a member of the epsilon delta chapter at Arkansas State. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and I hope to get some responses.

Sorry to crash y'alls board...but I'm from ASU too! I'm the President of Sigma Alpha Iota here. BUt you probably haven't heard of us (most of campus hasn't). We're a music sorority with about 20 members. We have all the same aspects of NPC sororities (rush, pledging, big/lil sisters, ritual, etc) but because we're specialized and smaller most of the campus doesn't know us.
So good to see another ASUer here! I have a lot of respect for Phi Mu here. Since I started college in August 2000 I have seen the group steadily grow and I can honestly say I have never met a Phi Mu who wasn't just the nicest girl ever! I know a few of your sisters--Chelsea Bills (I'm in band with her), and Celeste (used to have a class with her)
Just wanted to say hi!

I have heard of you guys. Since I have always had at least a few friends in the band ever since I was at school here, I was always aware of Sigma Alpha Iota's existance. I wasn't aware that you guys operated in the same way as us though. And thank you for the compliment. Our chapter of Phi Mu has been trying very hard to increase our numbers, and in the process we have gained a lot of really great women and we always try to be friendly and respectful to everyone. It really is good to know that we're thought of in such a nice way. So thank you for that, and I know my sisters would be as proud as I am to hear that people think such nice things about us. I know both Celeste and Chelsea. Both are good friends of mine. Celeste is my former roomie, and Chelsea is my lil sis. She's great! Thank you for saying hi!

Glad to know someone at ASU recognizes us! Yeah...the people that have heard of us think we're an honor society or something, but we actually are a social music sorority. Most are unaware that we do have rush, ritual, and all the other aspects of sisterhood. Who do you know from band?
You're wecome for the compliment! I really do think very highly on the Phi Mu chapter here. Not only for the friendliness, but for the diversity in your members. No cookie cutters there! (which is a good thing) And as far as your growth, people have noticed! My friends who are Pikes were talking about how far you guys have come.

I know Ralo, and Chelsea, and there are people that I have met a couple of times but really don't know them well enough to call them friends. There are also a couple of people that used to be in band that I know...Jessica Howard and Billy Allen. We do have a pretty diverse group of girls. I like that fact as well. It isn't something we were necessarily trying to do, just the way it turned out. I definitely feel it's a good thing though.

Hi ladies,
My name is Sarah. I am a Phi Mu at Tennessee Tech. in Cookeville, TN. We are a very small school and are in the middle of no where. We are the largest sorority on campus. I am a senior and will grad. next Dec.2005. I can't believe its coming so fast. I miss it already. I am from Mt. Juliet which is right outside of Nashville. If anyone ever wants to check out the music city you have a guide.

Hey to all! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while, school took over my life. Luckily, I have a break! Anyways, I have really enjoyed meeting sisters on here. It is really uplifting to be out somewhere and see another sister from a different school with Phi Mu letters on. It's the common tight bond we all share that makes me so happy to be a Phi Mu. I recently moved and in my neighborhood there are 2 Phi Mu's. I haven't gone to meet them yet but I will. It was a pleasant suprise. I hope to meet more of my sisters here and talk with you all. I think it's neat to hear how everyone does something different in their chapters. If anyone needs any ideas about Phi Mu games, songs, rush, or anything, just ask me. I have lots of things to share. I hope you ALL had a great 2004! I hope '05 is as good to you all.
LIOB,
Kristen

Hey Kristen
Another Alabama neighbor here, I'm from Jax State and I've been a Phi Mu for 4 years. I know a few of your chapter alumni, awesome women. I've never actually been to UNA but I've heard its a very pretty campus. We play yall every year in football!
Hope you're having a wonderful holiday.
Brianna
