kappa gamma chapter closes its doors

i'm saddened to report that the kappa gamma chapter of sigma kappa (university of dayton) is closing its doors as of april 18, 2004. their numbers have not been good for a long time. i was just informed this evening. (i'm the alumn/collegiate liason) it's good that i'm in this position cuz i have personal experience in this area so i hope to help them through this transition well. please just keep them in your thoughts and prayers though.

aside from internal issues, the chapter could not keep numbers up. and after this semester, they would only have about 10 girls at best and that isn't enough to function on UD's campus. so i know that they had all the help they could get from nationals and other chapters (both sigma kappa and UD sororities). basically they just didn't want to keep going. or at least that's how they came across in their actions and efforts towards recruitment.

I am extremely sorry to hear that. I know that times are hard for some chapters right now but I sincerely hope that the sisters of that chapter will still smile and know that they will always be part of something special.
