RR & RW Greeks
Okay, I just read through an entire thread on the main GC board and they were talking about RR and RW Greeks. So they mention Ellen from Road Rules "The Quest" is an ADPi from The University of Iowa. Others confirmed it.
I hate to admit this, but I'm very shocked by this because she was such a b*&%$ on her show. I couldn't stand her because she was just downright rude to everyone she can in contact with.
I really hate to say this, but she had such an bad attitude on the show(s) I hate to admit that she is a sister because of her attitude. I feel so shallow by saying this. I feel like such a horrible sister. Hopefully someone will understand, just a little, where I'm coming from.
Does anyone know if we can verify this information or not? Honeychile?

<------- Clueless!
Actually, I guess that there are ways of finding this out (Pride Online comes to mind), or a quick call to EO.
[slight hijack]
Don't you just hate it when you run into the one rotten ADPi in any given bunch?

I can't answer your question, but I can say that when you get a large group of women together, its' bound to happen that you click with some and not with others.
Fact is, while I loved my chapter and my sisters, there were a few that I could have done without. When you multiply one chapter by however many ADPi has, I'm sure there are going to be people that you wouldn't have been best friends with (for a polite way of putting it). It's life.
Keep in mind, too, that those shows are also heavily edited to create as much drama and friction as possible. I shudder to think of what my life would look like if it were edited for MTV.

Here is a Univ. of Iowa Article that talks about Ellen Cho's time in college. Official and Confirmed. She is one of our sisters.
I agree that MTV edits for dramatic effect and since I don't know her personally, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. However, if she's just haggard to other people in real life, then shame on her. That's no way to be.

Alphie1851, thanks for the link. We now know that it is confirmed.
I think my issue was when watching the battle of the sexes, she behaved like such a child and was so cruel and rude. Now knowing that she is a sister and that it is public knowledge that she is an ADPi, I'm just like 'how could you behave that way'. I mean I understand that MTV is gonna edit, create drama. But as she stated in the UI article 'your reactions are real'.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to control every situation and think of your sorority and how your actions will reflect on the sisterhood as a whole at all times. I'm not condoning any unbecoming behavior, or even saying that I was a fan of this girl.
People are different, thats one of the things that I felt so proud of ADPi for. Nice or not so nice, there isn't a cookie cutter mold for an ADPi. I've always felt like my sisters were my "real" family. I may not always like their decisions, actions, or words but they are my sisters none the less and I still love them all.

I think a lot of the issues that she dealt with on Battle of the Sexes was because of Puck. We dont know all that happened so I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. And like Adpi-Jen mentioned, there is no cookie cutter adpi. We're all different with different background, religions, heritage, etc. I think this makes the adpi experience even better since you get exposed to so much more even if you dont get a long with everyone.
Hey at least we have our own MTV celebrity now!
