Commercials ruin my jams.

HP has ruined "Pictures of You" by the Cure
Nike ruined "Revolution" by the Beatles

I liked Godsmack's first cd but their first single off their second cd was too commercialized.

I would rather see generic music used for commercials than current or classic songs.

and Burger King ruined "Tempted" by Squeeze. The Gap ad with it in isn't too bad since it features a hot man.

If Starbucks somehow gets a hold of "Black Coffee In Bed" I will blow up every single one of their locations.

The thing that blows is little kids don't know these are songs. I myself (at age 8 or so) thought "California Girls" was the Herbal Essence commercial until I heard the actual song on the radio.

He owns the rights to the majority of them. However, if his bankruptcy troubles really are as bad as reported, he may have to sell them, hopefully back to Sir Paul.

Wow, they used "Pictures of You" in a commercial? That's old, but such a great song...

Anyway, it seems Mitsubishi wants to ruin every song... they are really using them to try to market to us kids!

Yeah the "Pictures of You" commercial is in heavy rotation right now. I remember hearing something about it being a big deal because The Cure was really against licensing (is that the correct term?) their songs for commercials. I don't even think it's the original song, it kinda sounds like someone else singing it. I could be wrong.

And 33girl, I'm right behind you on that "Black Coffee in Bed." Although I'd be more worried about Folgers or something...Starbucks wants you to have flavored crap in your coffee in their coffee shop.
