sigma sighting...

so living on long island, i never expect to see any sigma's around, i don't really know anyone that goes t a school with a sigma chapter. so today i was driving along down a main long island road, and i see a sigma sigma sigma sticker on a car...i quickly manuver my car so that i can cut her off, i have a sigma license plate frame on my car. so after i see that she realizes that i am a sister of hers, she drives in the lane next to me, and luckily we get stopped at a light together. turns out she went to FIU and lives about 5 mins. from me. i didn't get her name...but she was just as excited as i was. the light turned green, and we parted ways (woh, that sounds dramatic). but it completely made my day. now i can't wait to get back to school and share the story with all of my sisters there!!!

Just thought I'd bump this one up....I was down in Charlotte, NC doing some shopping @ Forever 21, and I saw 2 girls wearing Sigma letters. I approached them and found out they were from Delta Delta @ UNC- Chapel Hill! It was cool!!

I was waiting on a table of older fraternity alums yesterday and told them of my affiliation. One of the men said "you know, my wife is a Tri Sigma", it was a nice feeling and I made sure not to spit in his soup

On Saturday night I went to the John Mayer/Maroon 5 show at the Tweeter Ceneter in Camden NJ and I was so excited to see a girl wearing a Sigma sweatshirt! I went up to her and found out she was from Penn State. It was just really cool to see a Sigma out and about and know that eventhough I didn't know her personally, I was linked to her through our fabulous sorority.

Not necessarily a Sigma sighting, but I was in my nail salon today waiting for my nails to dry after getting a fill and airbrush...

I saw a nail display of nails with sailboats on them and immediately thought: Sigma!

No there are no Tri-Sigma chapters in Canada

One of my sisters and I were grocery shopping the other day and we were wearing our letters, and this older guy stopped us and told us that he was a Lambda Chi in '69 and that his mom was a Sigma back in the 40s, and helped design and build our house back in 1968!!
