Do you know....
everyone on your line or in your pledge class? I was quite disturbed the other day when I was speaking to a brother and I mentioned that I met her #7 and she had no idea who I was talking about . Do you know everyone you pledged with? Is the size of your line an "excuse" for not knowing everyone?

well i will just play devil's advocate...
now that is tacky not to know your linebrothers but to play the advocate, maybe s/he may go by another name, ie. nickname, middle name or maybe their line was that large (but i highly doubt it). Did you the bruh give a physical description or something to distinguish the 7 by?

maybe that bruh don't come around, denounced APO or may have been ousted. I know examples where all three are the case.

My chapter certainly was not the perfect chapter. My pledge class had around 30 new members, but we were not close. Many of these brothers were not very active. By the end of my senior year, I was the ONLY brother left from my pledge class.

I was on a line of 6 and we did not know a lot about each other. I was a bit disappointed and made sure that the line after ours made a serious effort to REALLY get to know each other.

Large Pledge classes...
Some chapters have pledge classes on the high side of 100!
I ran into something interesting though in one of the *old* Torch and Trefoils in the 1930s. In an article she said that for a school like Ohio State that the Alpha Phi Omega chapter *needed* to be at least a hundred strong to do the service that they would be needed for...
