Should I ask out a guy?
Hi GCers
I was wondering if I should ask out this guy that I like? Has any girl every asked out a guy excluding a date for formal?
I'm a little nervious but because it seems as though guys don't ask girls out anymore I want to make the first move and ask him out for a date. Does this seem like a good move or should I just waite for him to ask me?
Thanks
Annice

Absolutely do it - straighforwardness is good, and it looks good if you'll make the first move and ask him out.
Be ready for him to say either yes or no...but give it a shot. More girls should do the same; men would appreciate it.

Do it, or you will wonder 'what if?' Be prepared for him to say "yes or no" though.
Tell us what happens!

Do it!
I asked out a guy about 3 years ago, and we've been dating every since
If you're nervous, maybe you should make it something small.. like you to could be talking about movies and there is a movie in particular he mentions he wants to see and say something like "That's cool.. maybe we should watch that one tonight" or something like that.. hehehe.

I'd like to do the same, but he's a co-worker and the idea of seeing this guy day after day IF he says no is why I don't try...

Dating someone from work can be awkward.

I asked TKE209 out the day I MET him and we've been dating ever since...2 years on Sept.20!

ha ha...I asked out a co-worker who I thought was single. He had a girlfriend. Suffice it to say, it imploded. It was awkward for about a month afterward but then he emailed me to wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and to say that we didn't have to avoid each other anymore, and now all is fine.
annice22, can you ensure that this guy is actually SINGLE first? Don't do like I did? LOL

holy christ, it would be nice if more girls are like this...if he doesn't have a gf, he'll go out with you just because you asked.
There's a few girls i work with that flirt with me, and even tho i'm not attractive to any of them, i'd definitely go out with them if they asked. Who says you can't have a good time even if there isn't a lot of chemistry?
