what do Thetas like?

I had a friend in high school I was veryvery close with. Her name is Emily and all I know about her now is that she's a Theta at Emory.

Her birthday's coming up and I want to send her a small present (care of her parents) to say I remembered. I want it to be something Theta-oriented -- these days, the only thing we have in common is our Greekness!

Any ideas on what to send her? I want it to be something special... but not too common..... something nice...... but not too expensive.

I thought you girls might have some ideas. At the very least, what's your favorite Theta thing?

greek love!

Personally, I'm always fond of sort of nicer, more 'grown-up' stuff that can be used on a daily basis and show off your Theta affiliation. Something like an engraved keychain with the letters or crest, or maybe a little charm if she's a charm bracelet kind of person.

On the total opposite side of the spectrum, those lip balms and nail files are kind of cute in a really dorky kind of way

Hope that helps a little.

Greekgrrl

PS I personally can't stand most of the stuff with pansies on it because it either has all kinds of pansies (ours is really only the black & gold pansy) or it's really grandma-ish and looks like it belongs in a dusty parlor or a bathroom or something. But that's just me.

This might be too late, but I agree with what Greekgrrl said. I guess it just depends on her age as to what to get her. If she's a new member, things with theta and her name or something might be really exciting to her. But if she's like a senior or something, she may like something different. I would recommend a pin box or a small jewelry box. Some of the stores here have cute bath crystals in a glass bottle with a kite top. Picture frames are always an option.
