Wedding Shower

A couple of friends and I are throwing a joint (bride and groom) wedding shower this Friday night. The groom knows about it but for the bride it is a surprise. They just decided that they were getting married in a few weeks so we have had to plan things on very short notice. There will only be 12 people total (guys and girls) at the shower.

For food we are having:
six foot sub from Subway
cheese and crackers
veggie tray
Macaroni and cheese (with boob and penis pasta)
green bean casserole
cake

Can you think of any other food that would be good to serve? Also, keep in mind, we will be hosting the party in a hotel suite and we will be staying there all weekend. We will have a microwave and a refrigerator.

Can you think of any other suggestions that would make this little gathering more interesting?

Also, I forgot to add that 10 of the 12 people coming are driving more than three hours to get here so they can't exactly prepare things before they come.

What about drinks? I'm not neccessarily talking about ålcohol either. Chips go well with subway sandwhiches. Nachos are always good and easy. I don't know what your budget is so it is hard to say what else would be good.
Definatley Bagels and muffins in the morning with OJ.

How about hors d'oeuvres - like potato puffs, cheese puffs, those mini hot dogs, etc. I think those can be heated in a microwave.

Drinks... if you're staying there, no need to worry about drinking and driving. Somehow I suspect this is the idea...

I'll one-up Lana and suggest bagels and lox for the morning - if you can find decent bagels and lox where you're going (I can think of New York, and, um... New York

)

well, since you mentioned the boob and penis pasta.....at my friend's bacholorette party, we got penis straws to drink from. my friends found them at an adult shop and they also had boobs, too! we also ordered her a penis cake....and the bake shop had other choices....

maybe you can order wings from a nearby restaurant or pizza. a fruit tray would be good too.

We got the drinks covered

I'm bringing a 1/5 of Apple Pucker, a 1/5 of Grape Pucker, a 1/5 of Vodka, a 1/5 of Peachtree, orange juice, and 50 jello shots. Other people are bringing pop and beer. We are also having chips and salsa...I forgot that on the earlier list. I'm trying to get ahold of my old roomie to see if she can bring bagels, cream cheese, and milk.

My friend picked up some penis straws, some dick sticks (toothpicks), and a pin the boobs on the girl game for the guys to play with. We bought them a honeymoon kit, some edible undies, and a few other things from the adult store.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm leaving at 4:00pm today to head down to Columbus so I'll let you know how things went!

hahahahahah my best friend got me penis pasta for my 18th... that was fun

maybe little bite sized quiches? i love quiche, and its not that expensive.. i'm sure they'd enjoy it
