Where would you go?
Okay, I was thinking, if you had to go some place in the USA, say for a business trip or something but with a little down time for pleasure.. where would you want to go? I mean, a place that you wouldn't go for a vacation or something, just so you could see it and experience it.
I think I would go to Texas, probably San Antonio. I don't really know why, except I like the idea of heat, with out humdity and friendly people.

Definitely it'd be either Vail or Aspen.

I went down to New Orleans once on business a few years back... that was nice (particularly on an expense account, lol). We had originally timed the trip for the week of Mardi Gras... unfortunately the project got delayed, and we wound up going the week AFTER Mardi Gras...
I wouldn't mind going to San Francisco... I haven't been there in many years.

Carmel, California. Beautiful town, full of wooded areas, water and KRML jazz radio.

I think Chicago because I have always wanted to check it out, but not enough to spend my own money to go.

Definitely San Francisco since I've heard that it's great out there, and my second choice would be Las Vegas...esp. now that I can gamble, or rather, play the slot machines.

Come on down! April or December are the two best times to visit SA. I'll have the Margaritas ready and show you the computer lab where you and james first exchanged glances.* hahha.
Seriously, SA is great, and the avg temp in winter is usually about 70-75. You'll wear shorts here on Thanksgiving.
*See James and ilovemyglo thread from last year.
