Blenders?

I know this is a stupid question but does anyone know of a good blender that they could recommend?

I have two brand new blenders that are both supposed to be able to crush ice for frozen drinks and they both are junk. I end up with full size ice cubes floating in a margaritias and daqueries.

My Cuisanart (sp?) does a pretty good job. I assume you're adding liquid in with the ice? I broke a blender my sophomore year of college b/c I didn't realize you can't just chop up plain ice cubes.

This month's Vegetarian Times has an article and reviews of several kinds of blenders.

I have the same problem. Lately I've been resorting to the plastic baggie filled with ice cubes manually smashed with the bottom of a bottle method. It's random but it works!

Don't know a thing about them except that they can be really fun... Just throw random stuff from the kitchen into the Blender and it can make some interesting food-stuffs...
