Bro. Dr. Matthew Kennedy, who for 20 years served as the Director of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, died on June 5, 2014. A concert pianist who trained at Julliard before he matriculated at Fisk University after WWII (where he was initiated in Eta Psi Chapter in 1946), he traveled the world and gave concerts and recitals. A particular turning point and inspiration in his life was when he attended a recital by Sergei Rachmaninoff in Macon, GA as a boy. He was a stalwart Omega Man.
