Junior fall rush?

I am going to transfer to UCF summer of '14 but then wanted to rush in the fall. I will be a junior. Will any houses consider me in fall rush because I will be a junior? Or do they only really take freshman?

Knowing if you are a man or woman will help a lot. What kind of GLO do you want to rush?

I'm a female. I was told by friends in sororities that the likeliness of me getting a bid was slim to none. Is it possible or no?

Anything is possible. I have to believe that if your sorority friends who know you say that there is not much of a chance, their advice has to be better than our guesses. They know a lot more about the situation than we do. There is a lot more than just your year in school to be considered.

They should take you if they feel you click with them. I know my roommate last semester (then a 7th sem Sr) got bid to a fraternity, and is now a full member with them this semester.

Fraternities are different than sororities.

There are no "shoulds" in sorority recruitment. That is not sound advice, even if it is well-meaning. Writing this for anyone in the future who comes across this thread.

OP, ask your sorority friends to be honest with you about why they are saying your chances are slim to none. And if you are strong enough to handle rejection, then enter recruitment with the mindset that "what will be, will be". Otherwise you are going to wonder "what if…?"
