To Rush or not to Rush...
Hello everyone,
I am a junior/sophomore planning to rush for the upcoming fall 2011 semester in Cal State Northridge (CSUN),but as of right now I am a bit hesitate to go forth on my plans. Since I am a junior/sophomore, I feel that it can be a disadvantage on my part during fall rush in CSUN. I guess what I am asking is advice from experienced juniors/sophomores who rushed and were given a bid, alumni and those that did not get a bid to help me get a solid answer of either yes or no, "to rush or not to rush." And just to give a small background of myself, I am a psychology with a minor in human sexuality, and involved with other campus and outside school activities, which is why I did not rush before. I also have a 3.6 GPA. Thank you so much for everyone to take the time to read my post and help a total stranger. Any advice positive or negative would be helpful.
Sincerely,
RumieMonkey

The answer is rush. You won't know your outcome unless you try. It may work out for you; it may not, but nobody here is going to be able to guess for you. At the worst you spend a week getting to know more about this very complex system and study the psychology of all that is rush and maybe makes some friends along the way. At best you join a sorority (I'm assuming you mean NPC sorority rush) and have a lifelong sisterhood.

Dumb question, possibly: what is a junior/sophomore? My mind is creating all sorts of funny pictures. Can you explain? thanks!

I made an assumption that it's a second year college student with a junior's worth of credits. But I'll be interested to know too!

Thank you all for your replies and the positive feeback. Sometimes the comments of others even if they may be from a person that one has no acknowledge of their appearance or their personality, it helps to get a clear insight.
What I meant by is what fellow greekchat member DubaiSis is that I will be a sophomore with junior's worth credit.
And yes I meant the NPC Sorority Rush.
Thank you again everyone and even though I already have a solid answer to my question, more replies are still accepted.
Sincerely,
RumieMonkey

33, how '80s are you - we ragged on it! I haven't heard that phrase in, well, maybe 20 years. HA! I actually laughed out loud in my apartment all by myself (DH is in Abu Dhabi working at a hospital tonight - computer geek stuff).

Girl, do it! I'm in almost the same position, except I also transferred schools, and like so many others have said, you'll NEVER know what could have happened if you don't do it! Maybe you'll hate it, but you'll never know unless you go for it! Good luck!
