when does it end?
im currently pledging zbt. the system as it stands is that every week, one person gets dropped from the pledge class until the end of pledging.
last week, one of my buds got dropped and I still can't figure out what he did wrong. i'm in the 8th week of school and I am freaked out that I could be the person that goes next week.
does anyone know when the pledge process typically will end? Or does anyone have any experience with the one-cut per week tradition?

You have no knowledge of your initiation date? I don't think your HQ would like that very much.

With the assumption that every GLO requires chapters to inform inductees of when they will be initiated.
The OP sucks for coming here with this question.

I made no assumptions about "every GLO". The OP stated his org.

So, you know that ZBT requires inductees to know when they will be initiated? Cool.

She may not have known prior to this but they do indeed, it's usually a couple of days after bids have been recieved and signed, if I remember correctly.

Their entire governance is on their website.
This is also laughable coming from the Queen of "Stay In Your Lane".

Considering ZBT doesn't pledge to start, I don't think the HQ would like any of this.
Major fail on the chapter and the OP for not doing his homework.

When does it end? When you contact ZBT hq and ask about this process.

He would much rather come to GC. GC would know much more than the fraternity.

For a lot of fraternity chapters, the national organization is minimized, ignored, or just seen as something that exists but you never use. If you're a pledge and are taught very little about the national organization or its resources, I don't blame the OP for coming here and trying to ask other ZBT people if what's happening is correct. Especially if the OP doesn't come from a greek-life family and knows very little about pledging.
Obviously the chapter is in the wrong, but I don't get the harshness towards the OP. If his chapter told him nothing about the national organization or told pledges to not contact it (I know, reading into things here), I don't really blame the OP.
Some of you can be really harsh for no reason.
Also obligatory don't lane swerve comment.

No one was rude to the OP.

We're all reading into it. And I don't see where anyone is being harsh.
He just wanted to know when this unofficial process will end so he will not get cut. He's not complaining about being hazed and looking for an official solution to the issue.

I didn't say anyone was rude, I said harsh.
Edit: OP probably doesn't know he's being hazed or that it is an unofficial process. Many chapters will throw national organization rules out the door and do things how they've always done, because that's what they've always done. It's easy for us to say, "duh why don't you contact your HQ?" because we've all been taught that. If the OP was taught correctly, he would know what's happening to him is not allowed. That already implies that something going on is not right (especially since it's mid-way through March).
Saying that the OP sucks for coming here, in my opinion, is a bit of a harsh comment to him.
Again, I could be completely reading into this too much.
