Post How big is your national?

Just wondering, how big is your national (in terms of number of chapters all across the nations. Maybe international?)

Theta Delta Chi has around 30 chapters, most of them are in East Coast, with one in U of Toronto. Used to have one in McGill U, Montreal

My national, Alpha Gamma Delta, has 178 chapters across the USA and Canada which includes 123,000 members. In addition to that there are over 250 Alumnae Chapters/Clubs and Junior Circles.

Our official website boasts that we were the first Greek group organized with the full intention of being an international fraternity, the first NPC group to adopt a specific international philanthropy project (the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation), AND the first NPC fraternity to colonize in Hawaii (my home state and chapter!!).

My fraternity has approximately 32000 members, including 2-3000 actives in 120 chapters in Germany, Belgium, Poland, Hungary and Japan. Mmemberwise certainly nothing compared to a lot of American fraternities, but the biggest one in Germany and Europe.
www.cartellverband.de - unfortunately only in German - my chapters has English pages at: www.kdstv-bodensee.de

Matthew & OohTeenyWahine,

The chapters are Germany Alumnae & Hawaii Alumnae. I'm not aware of undergraduate chapters in either location. Perhaps my Sorors in the Eastern and Far West Regions could give further information.

Delta Tau Delta has about 120 undergraduate chapters and a number of colonies. There are about 5900 active undergraduates, 106,000 living alumni out of total of 140,000 total initiates since our founding in 1858 at Bethany College, Va (Now West Virginia)

The time and place of the founding is important, because, the fraternity very nearly disappeared during the Civil War.

I'm guessing here, but I think there are probably around twenty or thirty alumni chapters as well.

Sigma Sigma Sigma has 103 collegiate chapters, 3 colonies, and 109 alumnae chapters. One of our colonies is in Germany. This historical event places Tri Sigma in the position of being the only NPC sorority to have a colony overseas!!!We were also the first NPC to have a chapter in Alaska, and now we have 2 there!

The Fraternity was founded August 8, 1839, at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Today, Beta has some 140 chapters and colonies in Canada and the United States.

Initiated Betas: 165,000

Undergraduate membership with pledges: 6,200
Colonies/recolonizations: 8 (Oregon State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Connecticut, St. Louis, West Chester, Central Florida, Washington State, William and Mary)
