Please help
Alright, I was hoping someone could give me suggestions for recruitment. We're a smaller chapter about 20 guys, and none of my guys seem to want to really recruit a lot. How can I motivate them to recruit and does anyone have any good ideas for recruitment in general? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's February. It's a little bit late to be getting motivated to do recruitment.
Ideally, this is a whole chapter process, but realistically, you need just a core of men who are willing to go all in. Have a 5-man recruitment team and shoot for a pledge class of 10-15. If you start identifying and contacting prospects in the summer, this is very, very doable.

They could be doing spring soon, I suppose?
I suggest playing whiskeypong for rush with rushees.
Everyone wins.

you can't really motivate the guys who don't want to do things. the best you can do is take the few guys that are motivated to recruit and use them to drive your recruitment.
phired up has this Mule story thats a perfect metaphor for apathetic brothers.

I'd strongly recommend getting started, get 5 or 6 people who want to help make the chapter better (Executive Council members) and go out and meet people. Start putting together plans for rush in the fall. My chapter currently has 17 guys, but they all want to help with rush.
