Penn State Recruitment is OVER

Ok, I guess it's never really over, but fall formal recruitment for 2001 is-woo-hoo! Quota had originally been 21, but no sorority got that, so this morning Panhellenic decided to change it to 20-which isn't exactly legal I think, so I dunno what's gonna happen w/ that. Sigma Kappa hit 20-18 lovely ladies from rush, 1 COB from last semester, and one half COB/snap bid. Yay! They're a great group of girls and I'm already stuck trying to decide who I want as my little. There are SO many girls I've already met that I'm excited about and so many more still to get to know!! Good luck to everyone else who're still in the process!!

Wow, no sorority got quota? I think that may be the first time that ever happened. I was just about to make a new thread to ask you about Rush Harmony. My cousin ended up rushing at Penn State rather last minute. Glad to hear your chapter did well...I am assuming you are Sigma Kappa. Congrats! I sure do miss Penn State.

Congratulations on getting quota!

How did all of the other sororities do? Specifically, Kappa Delta!

Question

Why didn't anyone get the original quota?? Were there a lot of girls dropping out or getting cross-cut?

Question

While we're at it, how did Tri Sigma do? (Forgive my confusion if we don't have a chapter there... )

Yup! I'm a Sigma Kappa! I don't really know why noone made the original quota, but I think it has to do with girls dropping. I don't know exact #s on most of the soroities...but I do know Phi Mu has a pledge class of 17 which is great and everyone is really excited for them!! ees-I hope your cousin loves her new sorority and has a great time!

Wow, that is great that Phi Mu got so many...I know they really needed it. Someone had told me that they only had about 8 sisters going into recruitment. Know if that is true? Anyone else do either really well, that needed to, or not so well, that usually do do well? This is why I miss PSU and Greek Life.
