Sarah Palin on SNL Tonight!

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nat...,5861740.story

She won't talk to the media, but she'll do SNL (a scripted show)... hmmm... I'm actually a bit interested in seeing Palin make fun of herself. Does she have a sense of humor? If so, she'll appear to be even more likeable! This may give McCain a few extra votes. I think it's a good move for the McCain camp.

Do you think she'll actually show up, or will she pull out at the last minute like Obama had to do the night of the season opener? If she is on, I hope Tiny Fey is on with her. THAT would be funny!

From interviews they've had about it when it was just a "rumor," Palin had wanted to do a skit with Tina Fey (as Palin).

That's kind of copy-cat. Hillary did something like that with Amy Polher during the primaries. (sp)

I thought that the skit was hilarious, I was in shock to see Alec Baldwin and Sarah Palin arm-in-arm.

I thought the opening skit was pretty lame. Turned it off after that, but need to hunt down the Sarah Palin Rap they did later in the show.

I stayed awake just to watch it. It was funny. The end of the show was just hilarious!

It was pretty good, actually - I give Palin credit for doing it.

She wasn't funny, but everyone else was.

I fell asleep before the very end of the show, though -- what happened? I caught the opening sketch and the weekend update rap.

Really? Shoot I thought Palin was funnier than pretty much everyone on the SNL cast (except Fey and Poehler).

I don't know what has happened to SNL, but it is definitely not funny anymore.

Seriously. Palin looked utterly disinterested. It's like her role was to be a buzzkill.

I have to agree. She had a chance to really loosen up but she just seemed to choose not to. If she was trying to come off sarcastic, I don't think she pulled it off, she came off smug and like she was "above it all". I thoroughly enjoyed Mark Wahlberg's bit more than hers. (and I agree with whoever gave props to Amy for pulling off that rap -- being that pregnant didn't slow her down a bit!)

I thought she was quite funny and did a good job making fun of herself/being part of skins that made fun of her. No, she wasn't as funny as everyone else, but she's not an actress or comedienne. She wasn't any more stiff than Lorne Michaels, and he's been doing this kind of stuff for years.
