Girls, question about current jean brands

Ok, there is a big sale coming up here in SF and these are the brands they are carrying:
  • 7 for all Mankind
  • True Religion
  • Hudson Jeans
  • Blue Cult
  • Joe's Jeans
  • 575 Denim
  • Chip & Pepper
  • J&Company

My question is does anyone know how these jeans are cut? Which jeans are best for which body types, etc...
I buy Calvin because they fit the way I like but are so darn*it expensive. I'm looking for jeans with a little more spunk to them.

Thanks

Whoa, that'll teach me to take a nap this late in the afternoon.

I read,
" Ok, there is a big sale coming up here in SF and these are the brands they are carrying"

And my immediate reaction was, "WHAT THE CRAP IS SINN FEIN DOING SELLING JEANS?!

I definitely need a break from covering the new Northern Ireland assembly.

But on the topic: I got nothin. Sorry.

I don't really have hips or much of a butt, and Sevens fit me amazingly well. If this helps, I'd say they fit more like American Eagle pants than Ann Taylor pants (which are butt-baggy to me).

I don't know about the other brands.

I completely agree - AE jeans used to be the only brand that would fit me until I discovered Sevens. Citizens also fit well, but it depends on the cut. Some styles (like the A-pocket Sevens) run a bit more snug.

Again, I don't really have much in the way of hips/butt either.

Sevens will not fit me, no matter how many styles or sizes I find. They just don't like me. Same thing with True Religions. I talked to a woman working at the Nordie's here and she said Sevens aren't as high of quality denim as other brands, and aren't made as well (in terms of fit) because they're so popular and mass produced. The owner of Uniquities (a local upscale boutique) also agreed with this.

I usually wear Rock & Republics, which are my favorites, but I always have to get them hemmed because I guess they assume their customers are all like, 5'10". I also really like Blue Cults and PPD (Paige Premium Denim). I'm been meaning to try some Citizens but everytime I go to drop a bundle on jeans, I always go back to my trusty Rock & Republics. ESPECIALLY my Victoria Beckham for Rock & Republics. Looooooove them. Abercrombie & Fitch jeans also fit me surprisingly, and it makes me feel great I can wear a 2 or a 4 there, and a 6 or an 8 other places. Sometimes I get kinda bummed that despite being 5'4" and weighing about 125lbs, I still have to wear a 6/8 or a 29 in jeans...I guess my Croatian and German heritage gives me some wide hips and junk in the trunk

7 for all Mankind - fits so well, but like valkyrie i have small hips and butt

True Religion - seems to fit a lot of body types

Chip & Pepper - IMO, cut very very small.

Sevens and Paiges are my fav jeans overall. I like the Seven A pockets best. And the Paige Laurel Canyon cut.

I own 2 pairs of Sevens and I absolutely love them. One is a dark denim and the other is like a normal shade, fading to dark. Both of them make your thighs look realllllly skinny. I'm not sure how to describe the cut, but from what I've seen, they look pretty great on anyone!

Seven and Chip & Pepper are cut amazingly and tend to fit everyone pretty well.

Thanks for the responses. I just want to know what I'm dealing with when I get ther and what I should be going for. I have a medium waist and a gymnasts butt and runners thighs. It's really hard to find jeans that fit all over.

I think certain styles of Joe's Jeans are cut a little more generously through the hip/thigh area but still look good.

Yeah it makes a lot of sense to pay $600+ for a pair of Evisus with an awful baggy cut or super tight taper fit. The only times I ever see anyone buy these is Japanese guys with a lot of cash that just love "the hip hop" and can't wait to pair their evisu jeans with a pair of jolly rancher colored bape shoes. I realize I throw away a lot of money, but even I don't understand where the appeal for evisu comes from.

Get over yourself Rudey. I said I was a fan, not that I bought them.

Work on those reading comprehension skills.
