Brooklyn Zeta Amicae's Youth Workshop -- Theme: To Educate, To Share and To Inspire Preparation is the Key. Guest speakers discuss topics pertinent to the daily lives of our young people. The presenters also encourage open discussions of their topics. Various topics are presented; among them: peer pressure, self-esteem, education, health and hygiene, drug and substance abuse, career planning, exploring the internet, etiquette and voter registration. Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter will take part in the 9th Annual New York Cares Volunteer Serve-A-Thon - an incredible day of hands-on volunteering at New York City public schools which raises money for New York Cares' year-round volunteer programs. We will be painting cleaning 1 of the 110 public schools throughout the 5 boroughs as we strive to put the spotlight on volunteerism and help to raise funds for the New York Cares' year-round volunteer programs. Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter will take part in the 6th annual Global Day of Service, Sponsored by Chase. The Hope Program - 157 Montague Street, Brooklyn Height, NY. The Hope Program is a job readiness and life skills program for adults in the shelter system and/or in drug treatment. This program in the St. Ann's Church is in need of a paint job.
