Pins and Badges
I am curious, if your local has a badge or pin where do you get them made and how much do they cost?
Some locals at my college have been around for over one-hundred years and they have some beautiful badges. I know they have their pledges wear ribbons of the GLO's colors.
Can you post pictures as well?
This is one of the local's pins. (They are actually state-wide: Arethusa)

I'm guessing you're at a SUNY school.

I am looking into having my local sorority go back to our historical badge from 1902. I am curious about this as well.

I know a local on my alma mater's campus is working w/ Herff Jones on a badge - so they do work with locals.
I couldn't tell you about costs or anything though.

I noticed your signature. Isn't that "To be rather than to seem to be" the motto for Delta Phi Epsilon?

Both Award Concepts and Herff Jones have been non-responsive to us, so thank you for the referrals, KDCat.

Contact this woman at Herff Jones directly - I have been in contact with her, she's pretty nice!

Oh, thank you! Maybe this will help us. One of the above sites wanted us to do an order of 100+ and that's just not what we need right now. Hopefully HJ will understand our need for smaller orders.

I recommend looking at old yearbooks for pictures of local's badges. e-yearbook is an affordable subscription where you can spend as much time as you like pouring through old high school and college annuals. At the very least, you'll see nice sketches of pins.
SUNY has a very interesting Greek history. Some of the sororities were once in high schools, like Jamaica High in Queens, and some went into Pennsylvania, specifically at Edinboro U, Mansfield, and somewhere in Pittsburgh.
I love the Arethusa badge. Such a cool way to do an "A"

Lapel Pins R Us will not make less than 100 pins. I found their customer service to be lacking.

^^^I thought it was also the open motto for Phi Beta; SilverTurtle's fraternity.

It's a common phrase used by lots of entities, yet no less special for each that uses it.

Yes - that's our open motto. And yes - it's shared by a LOT of organizations.
