Name your daughter and son

If you were having a son or daughter today what will you name them?

Daughter=Sylvia. Yes old name, it's my mom's name.
Son=Charles Allen. Charles for my father, Allen for my child's father.

I have a couple ideas about my daughter's and son's names:

Daughter: Brandy, Prudence, Malin, Rahel, Selah or Sellam ( both means peace), Keziah or Tamar ( both are biblical- I like Jezebel also but she was evil), Jadia, Nadia, or Nadja.

Son: Brandon, Robert (after my father), Sincere( from Belly, I love that name :-), Yusef, Coriel, Hanief, Romel, Corbin, are just a few.

Son: Cleofus

Daughter: Cleoficia

I AM KIDDING.....THOSE are names for the other thread "Interesting Names"

But really I have a few that I like. For instance:

Son: Daniel (My Late Godfather's middle name), Tommy (My Favorite Uncle's Name)

Daughter: Natalia Lorraine (My Late Grandmother's Middle name is Natalie and my Mom and My middle name is Lorraine), Jizelle Lorraine (A Great Aunt's name)

That's all for now.

I've thought up mostly girls' names: You will notice all my girls' names begin with an "N", because I want to continue the tradition (would be third generation) of having "N" as the first initial. I am also a fan of Biblical names, especially for boys.

Current fav is: Naomi Elizabeth
Nyla
Nya
Nia
Nola
Nandi
Noelle
Neri
Nia
Nala (Nahla)

For boys:
-Christopher
-Joshua
-David
-John (my grandad's name)
-Noah

sorry to crash your board but...

I just have to put in a personal vote for Carlie, since that's my name...I even spell it the same way (thanks Mom and Dad)!! but it's actually short for Carlisle, an old family name. It's been a combination blessing and curse. I get lots of comments on how pretty it is, but when I was in third grade I HATED it. I have two sisters named Courtney and Amanda, but before my parents decided to name the youngest after my father's mother (which was Adeline, but who names their kid that anymore, so they went with Amanda), they were going to name her Chloe.

I don't ever plan on having kids, but if I did I'd go searching for an old family name. Jewish people don't ever name their kids after someone who's still alive, as my grandparents are, but if they passed away before my child was born it would be named George after my grandfather or Shana, after my grandma Shirley (Shana is also Yiddish for "pretty.")

My cats are going to be named Beezus and Ramona.
