In the wedding of my dreams, all of my friends from N. Ireland and Scotland would be able to come, along with my family. If money were no object, of course.
I'd love to do a Silver/green themed wedding, with all shades of green from olive to emerald and hints of silver/sparkle. White roses everywhere, of course (they're my favorite and the Tau Delta alternate flower...can't find multicolored sweet peas for ANYTHING!).

Well, you could do two weddings. Hear me out-get married in the US with your family and friends over here. Stay in budget or below budget as much as possible.
Then rent a place in N. Ireland or Scotland and have a blessing service over there so your friends in the UK can be a part of your wedding.
My brother did that when he married-big Indiana wedding with very few guests on his side and then he flew to England and all my family attended a blessing service and a reception there. It wasn't too expensive either.

WHat about the time on Fresh Prince when Will was going to elope with a "shaft" themed wedding. that was pretty cool.

no theme in particular. We got married in Las Vegas--that is enough of a theme as it is
Our colors were Navy and Silver

I was just going to post that I think that navy blue and silver will be our wedding colors. It wasn't until after I started talking about it to my mom that she started giggling. I hadn't even thought of the fact that they are the colors of our favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. I had to defend that I didn't choose them because of that!

We had red and white as our colors...here are some pictures to see it all together:
The Girls:
You can see their different dresses here a little better:
My RED bouquet (50 roses!!) - it was HEAVY!
The Reception Set Up (sorry, bad photo"stitching" job)
The Cake (soooo good!!):

I know I've said this before but I love your cake.
Your 50 rose bouquet HAD to be heavy. I've carried dozen rose ones as a bridesmaid and even that was a little heavy to me.

Wow! I love, love, love this cake. I love how your wedding turned out. (Yes, I even found your "bio" on The Knot.)

My colors were burgundy (sp?) and silver. My bridesmaid's wore all different dresses in that color and the junior bridesmaid wore a slightly lighter color. The groomsmen wore burgundy vests and bow-ties. Our favors were light burgundy candles wrapped in silver mesh bags. The linens were silverish and the chair wraps burgundy.

I just got engaged, but we are hoping for an Oct. 08 wedding. Unfortunately my first two choices are booked for the whole month already.
My colors are going to be a chocolate brown and a bordeaux color with hints of dark orange. Since I haven't picked out BM dresses yet, I'm not sure which color I'm going to have them wear.
