Thanks for being in my corner y'all!
I started this thread
Women of Color in NPC's
After seeing the support and reading the responses I decided what the hell...go for it!

Well I got replies:
Group #1: My preferred one. Out of office reply. The person at HQ will not be back until next week. But I have already spoken to someone who is a member of a local chapter. We had dinner the other night and REALLY clicked
Group #2: Was originally my third choice but they are now my second. The only problem is right now they don't have a local collegiate chapter...but they are in the running.
Group #3. Was originally group #2 for me
They did reply to their credit.
Their reply:
An application for membership is completed by a sponsoring Group 3 and submitted along with two letters of support from Group 3. A letter of support from the alumnae group nearest the candidate's residence is also submitted. After a positive vote from the Council of Group 3 , the candidate is invited to be initiated into membership at a collegiate chapter.
Well I am rather new to the area so I don't know any group 3s.
Group 1 and 2 seem most receptive
So I have narrowed it down to 2

Yea, Jill! Welcome to another PNAM (prospective new alumna member.) There are many supportive sisters here to help you along. I have found everyone friendly and caring. They really want to help you find a home.

Thanks Lizz!
There are some really great groups that I would love to look into but they don't have chapters in my area...or even alumni chapters
