Beauty Tips
I'm bored and always interested in beauty tips so ladies how about we discuss the topic of beauty tips and exchange them so that others can learn things about upkeeping out beauty.
So I'll start us off...
Got time and need to wash your hair but you have braids-take a qtip and astringent and go around the scalp.
Tea tree oil works wonders on dandruff.
Putting on an alphahydroxy cream and leaning over a steaming bowl works on cleansing the face.
Soak aching feet in peppermint oil and a warm water.
And I have tons more to come.

I love taking baths with salts...i get the candles going and LUXURIATE...drink a nice cup of tea or a big glass of water to follow...replenish the hydrants. I have a ton of great tips I will share later...I am big on spa living. More later!

i have also found that bath salts really help to soften and polish the skin from head to toe... just add to warm water and soak away...
various mud packs help to remove toxins from the skin also...

With my oily skin and breakout issues, I have found the Black Opal complexion bar extremely helpful. Instead of 4 or 5 bumps every 2 weeks, I get 1 every 5 or 6 weeks. Also:
- Moisturizer, moisturizer, moisturizer!
- Good moisturizing body lotion like St. Ives collagen/elastin.
- Oil of Olay body wash - it's the bomb!
- Healthy diet and exercise
- Good cleansing and cosmetic products. I love Avon!
- Regular hair appointments (as your time and budget allow - there are "options"

And don't forget "Beauty is as beauty does."

WATER, it's the best beauty secret there is. It's really great for you skin, because it keeps you hydrated.
Also mosturizer in the morning and in the
evening.
Also this may sound silly, but don't let people touch you. My mother always said not to let people touch your skin, especially your face, because you don't need their germs.

I borrowed these yummy spa recipes from www.spafinders.com
Spring Grain Risotto
The Boulders
1 tsp. Olive oil
1 mediumRed onion, diced
1/2 cup Celery, diced
3 cloves Garlic, chopped
1 ear Corn, cut off the cob
1 Red bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup Wild rice, cooked
1/2 cup Golden lentils, cooked
1/2 cup Israeli couscous, cooked
3 cups Broth, flavor of choice
1 Green onion, sliced
2 tbs. Grated Kassari cheese (or Parmesan or Asiago)
2 tbs. Parsley, chopped to taste
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 lb Assorted greens (baby kale, collard, spinach, chard)
1 recipe Golden tomato salsa (recipe follows)
6 sprigs Cilantro
1. Heat olive oil in a shallow, heavy bottomed skillet. Add the red onion and celery; sauté briefly. Add garlic, corn and pepper; cook an additional 2 minutes. Add the rice, lentils, and couscous.
2. Add the broth one cup at a time, waiting until each cup has been absorbed before adding the next. Stir constantly with a flat-tipped wooden spoon, scraping up the bottom of the skillet. After the last cup of broth has been added, toss in the green onion and cheese. Cook until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Add the parsley and adjust seasoning.
3. Toss in the greens and cook just enough to wilt. Divide into 6 bowls, and top with a spoonful of golden tomato salsa. Garnish each bowl with a sprig of cilantro.
Serves 6.
Golden Tomato Salsa
1 Golden tomato, seeded and diced
1/4 Red onion, diced
1 tbs. Cilantro, chopped to taste Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Pretty Kitty's beauty tips are go to the hair dresser weekly to get your do did, and keep your nails freshly manicured...lol...just j/king but really, this is my weekly routine.
I also keep good care of my feet by never putting cheap shoes or shoes that are too small on my feet. I also rub them after each shower or bath in cocoa butter and I routinely scrub the bottom. That way, you'll alwayZ have pretty feet...I know it works for me When I went for my first pedicure of the Spring, the woman remarked on what good condition I keep my feet in and I was all

These beauty tips aren't for your outer being, but for your inner being....
1. Being able to tell another woman you love her (whoever she may be )
2. Being able to take time out of your busy day to compliment another woman
3. Being able to take time out of your day for yourself
4. Learning to love yourself each day (it will show )
5. Having another female's back when she needs help
6. Respecting yourself enough to treat yourself and other women around you like the queens that they and you are
That's all that I can think of for now. I'll post again when I think of other things.
