Shows like Boiling Point, Candid Camera

If you don't WANT to be featured as one of the people who got suckered, you don't have to sign right?
I know people who, if put in that situation, would get pissed even more to know they were had on a TV show and would want nothing to do with it.

If they happened to say "You're gonna be on TV, it's not a matter of signing", they'd just go ahead and jump the nearest fool near me, especially if he had something to do with the skit.

i do not like candid camera. boiling points is hillarious. if you get filmed, you have the choice to not let it be televised. that is your right.

I really don't like that Boiling Point show. I honestly have more respect for the people that "fail" and either leave or chew the person out or threaten to involve authorities because at least they're standing up for themselves. It seems like the people that "win" are nice and patient but are also letting themselves be abused by some random stranger.
Out of the segments I've seen on that show, I would lose 9 times out of 10. I probably wouldn't want to sign their release either.

But back to the original question. You're right, no signature, no t.v. I think I've heard of a couple people Ashton Kutcher 'Punk'd' who never made it to air.

				Candid Camera

They had a thing on that "Reality TV Secrets" show about a guy who got stopped at the airport and it turned out to be Candid Camera. He not only didn't sign the release, he sued.http://www.courttv.com/trials/news/0...amera_ctv.html
As far as I know, the people in the background need releases if their faces are clear enough to be distinguishable.

The old Candid Camera had silly things - like maybe someone dressed as a nun handing out condoms - but the shows now are getting more and more "extreme" and physical. If they keep it up there are bound to be more lawsuits.

I'm amazed at how calm some of the people stay. There was one episode where this guy followed a girl around with his camera taking pictures of her. I would have been very uncomfortable but she just laughed and even posed for him.
Speaking of shows like this, there was a Punk'd episode never aired with the Black Eyed Peas. They were tricked into thinking they were brought into a whore house of some kind. One of their friends got mad and decked one of the Punk'd guys. You've got to expect that with a show like Punk'd, someone is going to eventually get mad enough and start throwing some punches.
