My parents have known about both my tattoos, before I went to get them. My piercings, on the other hand... they didn't find out about those till later. But then again, tattoos are permanent, and piercings you can take out.
I definitley would be squeamish about getting anything sorority related tattooed on me.

The week before Thanksgiving break, one of my roommates and I skipped chapter because we had been running errands and wouldn't make it to the house on time, so I spur-of-the-moment got a tattoo. It's a little pink rose on my hip. And now my parents can never see me in a bathing suit ever again!

I personally like tattoos if they're somewhere that you can hide them when you need to. Now getting letters tattoo on me, that's something I would never do. Not that I'm not proud of them, I would just want a little more symbolize in my tattoo. One of my brothers who transfered from another chapter: he, his big, and his big's other little got three stars tattooed on them (I think on their bicept but not real sure) to represent the three of them. That I think is cool and still represent the fraternity.
Not, exactly a fraternity thing, but I want etoiasia on my foot, it means readiness.

Thanks everyone!!
And KappaKittyCat, yes, they are addictive! I won't ever get any more. I was the girl who always said she would NEVER, EVER get a tattoo! Now I have two! You can read the first post of this thread to read about my first tattoo.
Kappa, do you just have one tattoo?

At the moment I have just the one, but I might get another the next time I go to Chicago. After seeing some of the sketchy places around here, I'm not going anywhere other than Jade Dragon. I think I know what I want-- a small set of eighth notes on the inside of my other ankle. But the other problem is that I'm currently quite poor. I think I'm going to get my nose done before I get another tattoo.

Yeah I was the same way. I thought I would never get a tattoo, but I also have 2. I really like them and don't regret it at all. I'm planning on getting another one...as soon as I get some money.

Ahhh! That's where I got mine, and I love them!!! I have two now but am already starting to want two more. Someone here posted (it might even be on this thread but I'm too lazy to go look) about having a tattoo on her second toe, sort of like a toe ring. I think that is an AWESOME idea. I also want to get one on my lower back, but I've never been able to think of what to get. My boy had the BEST idea last night -- a lotus flower...so as soon as I have some extra $$$, I might be making another trip out there. That is going to hurt, though...

Sometime in the future(not for a while though) I want to get a tattoo of either a:
-a lion (sorority mascot and my astro sign)
-violets (sorority flower)
-a dolphin (my fave ocean species)
-the chinese symbol meaning sisterhood (about 7 of my sisters have it)
I would prolly get it on the small of my back, or around that region.

ADPi~Ally, I really like that idea! I thought about the whole Chinese letter sisterhood deal, but that really didn't appeal to me, since I pretty much knew I wanted a tattoo on my foot. I really like it though!

lolz at all the people who get tatoos of dolphins and flowers.
you figure if someone was gonna fuck up their body with tats, it would at least be of something meaningful.

I agree that if you are going to get a tattoo it should be something meaningful. But just because a flower or dolphin isn't meaningful to you doesn't mean it isn't to them.

I don't get it...how is a dolphin meaningful?
Sure, they are "cute" and they can even talk in that Yahoo commercial...but really why would you do that...?

I must have missed that commercial...
Anyway, both my tattoos are of white's tree frogs. Those are meaningful to me. I thought about getting a pair of lips on my ass and the words "Plant lips here" next to it, but I figured its not worth the money.
