Slamball: The best kept secret in extreme sports

I love Slamball, and I recently wrote an article about it. Here's the intro:

It’s high-flying, non-stop, adrenaline-slamming action. I’m talking of none other than SlamBall, of course. Premiering in its second season on August 4th, SlamBall is part of The New TNN’s Slammin’ Saturday Night line up, which consists of their most successful shows arranged back-to-back every Saturday night. Let me just say right now, this is not another shint spin-off league like the XFL. It is the first team orientated extreme sport. SlamBall is a hybrid sport that crosses basketball, football, lacrosse, and hockey. It is played on a basketball-sized court with four trampolines configured near each basketball hoop. It is a sport that can be so surreal at times that it takes on the appearance of a video game, rather than reality. The players have been known to fly well over 5 feet above the backboard, about 20 feet off the ground, only to come slamming down with some of the most spectacular dunks that these eyes have ever seen performed in real life. As amazing as it seems, SlamBall has kept only a reserved audience in its first season, hence the title “The best-kept secret in extreme sports.”

Hells Yeah!!!!

I like to bust out the 40oz of Mickey's on Saturday night with my boys and watch the games. I loved your article man! I love the Diablos!!!! I think Kobe's dad is gonna lead them victory!! Anyone know when Shaq is playing/showing up? I heard he was coming on. I also saw a commercial where he called Slamball "Aerodynamical", they teach big words at LSU!!! By the way, it is a correct usage of aerodynamic.

Thats great that the big Aristotle got up on Spike and started waxing philosophical about Slamball. Shaq Daddy is the man! Slamball is pulling in a lot of NBA players, they had the Suns' Shawn Marion doing the commentary the other night. Its good to see some of these NBA stars get involved with a start-up sport like Slamball, it makes me like it even more.

No kidding, it makes it a more legit sport. I mean, this thing is getting respect from some of the best players in the NBA. Hey, if you are anywhere near a bar on saturday night, the re-run of last mondays game is on Spike TV. POUND SOME COLD BEERS BABY!!

Damn that was crazy... I know this sounds sick, but I am alays hopin something else will happen when I watch. Kind of like part of the fun. Nothing serious obviously, i am not evil, but it is always the danger that makes it fun.

Either we have some Slamball PR people on here, or someone is just really obsessed with this show.

I actually like it... way more exciting than regular basketball.

Yeah i kinda like the diablos. I think its really funny that Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant is their coach. They also have the creator of Slamball on their team. I think I am going to try to find a new team though, I feel like a front runner rooting for the Diablos. and i don't won't to be one of those, front runners suck. but hey, if you have been down with the diablos since day one, then thats fine.

Really?

I know that my boyfriend watches slamball a good amount of the time, but you guys are nuts! I think guys need to settle down w/ the whole sports thing. I have to loose my man like three nights a week b/c of slamball and football starting up. I have to admit (and not because I am scared of you all for being such hardcore fans) that I would much rather watch Slamball than football.
