Thumbs up keep breathing....

in with the good...out with the bad...
remember we'll look back and laugh some day at all this and call it the good old days.
is that not frightening?
lol and hang in.

Apparently DOC is telling some of our pledges some very interesting things about us...I think the general idea was something like this:
"Yeah, NBO has really cool girls. We'd like to have a social with them, but we decided not to do anymore socials with them, because they don't want to do any with us...because they can't control themselves when they're around us."

Oh My GOD! How arrogant is that? I was really really angry about that, and then we found out that they were sharing false info on us hooking up with some of their guys. I don't even know what to do except let it boil over, I don't want to stoop to their level, but seriously- I'm SO disgusted and distressed right now!

Corina

PS- You'll notice on tv in the fall what we already know- they have no respect for women (the ones that we have interacted with at least, I can't speak for the whole fraternity), they lie, and they're NOT EVEN CUTE!

I completely agree w/ mmcat! take the high road and just let it pass.. it will only make them do it more if they see it really bothers you

Hi everyone,

Not a ton to report here. We just initiated our Gamma class on Friday! We have five amazing new members, and I'm so incredibly happy that they're now our sisters. Hopefully you'll get to know some of them on greekchat at some point. Other than that, not a whole lot going on. We're all trying to get together our expansion packet for Theta Nu Xi, but finals are this week, and life is insanely busy. The quarter is almost over, which means MTV should be (if they haven't already) leaving Santa Cruz, thank goodness. I'm so over this whole fraternity life thing it's not even funny. But yes, I'll be one of the first ones to watch it when it's on. Beyond that...our new girls are really excited about recruiting even more new members, and really building up NBO. I think that new energy is just what we needed to get our motivation and determination back. Right now I have to harrass everyone to get them to send me their info for the DOI packet for ONE. You know, I can honestly say that I never thought college would be this hard, or this rewarding. Interesting how things turn out huh?

Yeah NBO!!

I think we will all be really interested to hear about FL2, even while we roll our eyes.

Congrats to your Gamma class on initiation! You've come so far! Keep that energy up, keep smiling, and wonderful things will happen!

Hi everyone! (Hi Corina!) I'm one of the newly initiated members of the gamma class of NBO! (Y'all might remember a few pages back when I was just looking for information... look how far I've come! ) We had a beautiful ceremony on Friday and I have to admit, I cried! Anyway, I am soooo happy to be a part of this wonderful sisterhood and I'm really excited for all of the great things that are still to come!

I haven't read the thread in a while, and I had no idea that you guys were going for QNX. Way to go! I really hope this one works out for you...

Hi Andrea! Welcome to GC! I don't think you'll find any other group of people who is as excited for NBO as the people here. Congrats on initiation, and we're all rooting for you!
