Hi everyone,
So here's how things go from here:
We decide if we are interested in AZD coming to our campus. We need to discuss this with all the other members of NBO, but things are obviously looking quite positive as of right now. So if we want AZD here, we send them a written sort of invitation. They put a vote to their national council and decide if they want to come here. Then, if everyone wants to be here and all, they come onboard, and interview all of us individually and make sure we all are what AZD wants out of a member. Depending on what method they go by, NBO could become members of AZD before anymore recruitment occurs (I think). What seems most likely is that AZD would hold an individual recruitment, apart from Gamma Phi Beta, and work to get women together. Then for the next recruitment period, or maybe a couple periods down the road, a formal NPC rush would be held. Plus, at the same time as all of this, the new members would be learning how to be AZD members, how to hold officer positions, etc, and a Panhellenic Council would be put together at UCSC. So that's the more technical side of this I guess. I have absolute faith in all of my sisters (and myself!) being able to wow AZD and keep moving in this process. So that's about it for now, I'm going to get in touch with all of my sisters and see what they have to say, and then post more here when we have our official decision...but from the way things have been going I'm sure you can all guess what that will be. More later!
love, Corina

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that, as of this time tomorrow (noonish on Thursday, August 22) NBO will have officially made a decision regarding AZD, and gotten started on filling out the paperwork to invite them to come to campus. I think it's really neat how full circle this has gone- I started out rushing for Gamma Phi, and now I'm essentially going to be rushing AZD...so I guess it's good that this thread was never moved to a different forum, because it's going to be happening all over again. More later!

CONGRATULATIONS!
Hugs and congrats to Corina and the sisters of NBO! You're getting ready for your next steps on your incredible journey. Just think, you'll have this thread as a historical document showing how it all started.
Also, big congrats for AZD for so clearly impressing the women of NBO and others at UCSC. It is a credit to the women who made the presentation and your sorority as a whole to hear that NBO hopes to become a part of your sisterhood. I hope the AZD National Council vote can happen in the near future and they choose to colonize at UCSC. The very best of luck to both NBO and AZD!

Hi everyone,
I called and left Delia messages (on both of the numbers I have for her) telling her that we definitely would like to invite AZD to colonize on campus. Even though we knew from the second we met with them that this was going to happen, it still feels exciting to know that this next step has been cemented. I'm waiting to hear back from her, and then to hear from AZD. As usual, I'll keep you posted!
