That is actually an interesting story. The pledge in the yellow dress was a legacy. Her older sister had worn the same dress on her Bid Day a few years before at Oklahoma State. While the legacy may have known that a bid was highly, highly likely, the older sister must have been pretty brave to wear the dress.

I can't believe I haven't posted this one here! My APO chapter yearbook photo, 1995. (This wasn't even close to all of us - just the ones who showed up for the picture. This was probably about one-tenth of the chapter.)

Here's our ASA Penn State chapter's photo taken in 1980 that would have appeared in the 1981 yearbook.

Farrah still had undue influence on too many of us....

I saw this on the Gateway Macon website, and found it interesting. Sadly, it does not say if the ladies pictured are Adelpheans or Philomatheans.

"The world’s first 2 secret societies for women where founded at Wesleyan College. Those two secret societies’ became known as the sororities’ of Alpha Delta Pi and Phi Mu. Founded on May 15, 1851, by Eugenia Tucker, Alpha Delta Pi is the oldest secret society for college women in the world. Phi Mu was also founded at Wesleyan College in 1852 and is the second oldest sorority in the nation."

How about a retro video? This future actress was the "anchor" of the Sigma Chi recruitment video for Tulsa university in the 1980s.

Oh wow, the guys in that TKE composite look so old. The hairstyles, the mustaches. There's one blonde dude in the bottom row who stands out as looking so much younger than all the rest.

I know! I look at the sorority pictures from the 50s and they look like little old women.
