One thing we had was an arrow cake and when each PNM pulled on a wine-colored ribbon, her name came out on a tiny card. I wish I could remember how we got each girl to pull on the right ribbon, maybe they were alphabetical. Anyway, it always caused a lot of gasps.

This wasn't for Pref, but we did a Cinderella themed party, and actually made a punch bowl out of the biggest pumpkin we could find and made it look like a pumpkin coach. Then we found a place that would sell dry ice, so we'd put a piece in the punch so it would mist up and look pretty wild!

The ZTA house at our school always had a cheeseball, and it was excellent. The ZTA advisor was also the Panhel advisor for awhile during the end of my time there and she brought it in one time. So good. Our chapter did what a lot of other posters have said - chocolate dipped strawberries, cookies, brownies, punch.

The DG's here have had an anchor shaped ice scuplture in the past. I'm not sure if they had it this year.

Thank you all for the compliments on our "carriage punch bowl"! That whole skit was a send-up on Cinderella, with the Fairy Godmother waving a plunger & talking in a Brooklyn accent, the Prince wearing a Burger King crown, and the "mice" wearing Mickey Mouse ears!

It was my favorite non-Pref skit!

PS - We had a 100% return rate on this party! Every other sorority was decorating to the nines, and we went low key, and served salads.

we served anthill pie. you crushed oreos, sprinkled one layer in a 13 x 9 pan, spread softened peppermint ice cream over that, then sprinkled the remaining crushed oreos over the top. refreeze, then cut into squares-serve on a chilled dessert plate with a fork. you can drizzle chocolate sauce on the plate and on the ice cream square, if you want to get fancy.(it was also our favorite dessert for formal dinners) i imagine we served chilled water with it, but i cannot remember.

I guess your campus missed no frills huh? I plan corporate meetings and these cost $500!

I was wondering about that. I think that would have eaten up our enitre recruitment budget (plus some).
