Fall 2009 Info and Help with Recommendations: Alumnae Panhellenics
This thread is about the information sessions put on by Area Alumnae Panhellenics, and the recommendation assistance the sessions may provide.
These sessions can be especially helpful to high school seniors (and their parents) who are not familiar with sorority life at all, or -- especially in the Southeastern U.S. and Texas -- who do not know much about the somewhat special aspects of sorority recruitment in those areas of the country.
I encourage other GreekChatters to post dates of sessions as they become available.
I also encourage potential new members (and their parents) to attend a session in their hometown area.

Clear Lake Area Panhellenic (Texas) under the Recruitment section. The info is for last year but should be updated when the spring date draws closer.

Dallas, Texas Panhellenic usually holds their informational meeting in late February. The website is still set up for 2008 but an informational packet can still be downloaded that will give you a heads up as to what is expected. www.dallaspanhellenic.org

I'll add Plano Richardson Panhellenic. Their information meeting has been set for Sunday February 22, 2009 at Parkway Hills Baptist Church Plano.

Also, to add to the Dallas information. Most of the private schools and Highland Park have informational meetings at the schools as well as through panhellenic.

It used to be that each high school hosted its own information session. I wonder why they moved it to the Yacht Club.
I used to write recommendations for local girls; after being given 70 one summer, I think I've done my share.

Does anyone have any contact information for the Charlotte, NC panhellinic? I am sure there is one, but I have not been able to find any contact information. I know a girl going through recruitment in the fall and would like to help her get set up with recs.
