i personally think that this thread is funny!! i personally know that our nickname is the same on almost every campus that has our chapter, and that most people who go to those schools can sing at least one song made up about us. i heard 2 songs last spring from an sae at my school and i thought they were the funniest things!! i guess i dont take things like that seriously, especially since its not like every group doesnt have some sort of nickname that isnt so nice. people need to lighten up about this thread! and if anyone knows any other nicknames for chi omega let me know!!! im just curious!

At my school we have:
AST: you can't spell wasted without AST; you can't spell nasty without AST
KKG: Daddy Daddy Buy Me, Visa Visa Mastercard
KLY: Kappa Lambda Psychos
SSS: Tri Pigma, Tri Sigma everyone else has
for the fraternities the only one I know is
ZY: Zeta High (really quite true lol)
I agree with all the people who say that the jokes aren't anything serious. We all know them and we think it's funny. We refer to ourselves as Kappa Lambda Psychos.

I was definitely a part of the Keg Drainer house. Though, we never minded the nickname. We could party with the best of them, which I think is nothing to be ashamed of. Other nicknames for other sororities and fraternities at our school were also ones that have already been mentioned on the board. It's funny to see how the nicknames are the same all around the U.S.

some of these are CRUEL!!!!!! but, in defense of the posters, i've only learned a couple of new ones from this thread. most of them, i've already heard (more than once for that matter)
- thought i'd share this one though
i've heard of sororities being called chi chi lambda as in XXL before...

Most of these aren't new to me either. The only one I hadn't heard before was the one for Pi Kappa Phi, Pi Phi for boys. I'll have to tell my boyfriend about that one, he'll get a good laugh (he's a Pi Kapp).
The Sigma Kappa ones are kind of funny. I like Snakey K's. Also I have to admit that there were times when me and few of my sisters wrote our Dues checks out to Sigma Krappa for the fun of it.

I won't mention any of the less-than-tasteful ones I've heard (mostly because they're already on here) but my Dad's favorite one for Kappas was Kiss Kick and Giggle Because we kiss the boys, we kick them away and then we giggle about it. I'm pretty sure he made that one up himself. My dad, the comedic genius!

We do the girl-Pi Phi/guy Pi-Phi thing. It gets confusing.

But an interesting thing that i've noticed about my campus is that we don't call Pi Kappa Alpha "Pikes", we call them "Pika"- they refer to themselves that way too.
I think this is becaus we also have Pi Kappa Phi and Phi Kappa Theta and Phi Sigma Kappa and they'd all get confused.

I think it might be a regional thing for the Pikes. One of the brothers told me that some chapters above the Mason Dixon line call themselves Pikas instead of Pikes.
At my undergraduate school, we had Pi Kappa Phi and Pi Kappa Alpha. The Pi Kappa Phi's were known as the Pi Kapps, and the Pi Kappa Alpha's were known as the Pikes.

We have guy-Pi Phi and most people here still call it Pika, and we're Southern. Go figure!
